  • Boneless Chuck Roast is the most popular cut for this recipe. However, you can substitute it for brisket or round roast.
  • Ranch dressing mix
  • Pepperoncini, preferably sliced, with 2 tablespoons of juice
  • Au jus gravy mix
  • Butter (salted or unsalted is fine)

It’s easy as 1,2,3.

  1. Throw your pot roast in the crockpot.
  2. Dump in your ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix packets.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of pepperoncini juice, ⅓ cup of sliced pepperoncini peppers, and 4 ounces of butter over everything. Put the cover on top and simmer for 8 hours on low. It is not advised to add water to your crockpot. This tasty gravy only needs the butter and meat juices.
