This Oreo cookie dessert is so reminiscent of childhood, it will take you back all the way to those days when you were playing in the backyard while your mom was making fresh cookies for an evening snack.

Easy Oreo Dessert Recipe this …

It’s a layered dessert, one with chocolate pudding, two with cool whip, a layer of cookie crust, then cream cheese, garnished with some crumbled Oreos on top. Save this recipe for those nostalgic days to satisfy the kids and yourself.

🍽 What You Need For Easy Oreo Dessert

  • Oreo cookies. Double stuff Oreos are good too, this recipe only uses regular.
  • Melted butter is mixed with the crushed Oreos to make the first layer, the crust.
  • Cream cheese, combine it with a cool whip and sugar to get the best filling. Powdered sugar works best as it blends in quickly.
  • Granulated sugar doesn’t dissolve as well and soft and powdered sugar does.
  • Cool Whip. Make two portions, one will be mixed into the cream cheese and the other for the finishing layer. In case it’s been in the freezer, defrost it beforehand.
  • Instant chocolate pudding, for convenience, and it’s always delicious.
  • Milk to make the pudding. Any kind you like, I used 2%.
