This Easy CrockPot Chicken and Gravy recipe is so simple and perfect for feeding your whole family!
This is one of my favorite crockpot chicken recipes, as well as the rest of my family. It has gravy in it with some deliciously creamy chicken. You’ll only need a small number of components such as gravy mix, sour cream, chicken breasts, and chicken soup. It can be served on top of pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes. This recipe is foolproof with kids.
Serve with a side of vegetables like broccoli, green beans, or carrots for a nutritious meal. You can also have the leftovers the following day for lunch.

- 2 or 3 chicken breasts (1.5 pounds)
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 2 packets of chicken gravy mix
- 1 and ½ cups of water
- ½ cup of sour cream
- Pepper and garlic powder
- Pasta, rice or mashed potatoes to serve
🔪 How To Make Crockpot Chicken And Gravy Recipe
- Add some garlic powder, salt, and pepper to your chicken and put it to the side.
- In your crockpot, combine all your ingredients but leave the sour cream out.
- Submerge your chicken in the mix and add the juices on top.
- Simmer for 6 to 8 hours on low, until your chicken easily pulls apart.
- Use a fork to shred your chicken then mix in your sour cream.
- Warm it up for an extra 15 minutes.
- Place over some rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta, and enjoy!
In my opinion, this chicken recipe is best served with some rice, because this dish needs a little more texture. Much like Thanksgiving dinner, it’s delicious and filling, the ultimate comfort food.

Easy Crockpot Chicken and Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 or 3 chicken breasts boneless (1.5 lbs)
- 2 packets of chicken gravy mix
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup 10.5 ounces
- 1 and ½ cups of water
- ½ cup of sour cream
- garlic powder and pepper
- pasta rice, mashed potatoes to serve
Instructions
- Add a good amount of garlic powder and black pepper to your chicken breasts.
- Mix your cream of chicken soup, 2 packets of chicken gravy mix and water in your crockpot using a whisk.
- Submerge your chicken breasts in your mixture, spooning it on top to cover it.
- Put the lid on and simmer for 6 to 8 hours on low until it easily pulls apart.
- When done, shred your chicken well using a fork.
- Throw in your sour cream and heat up for 15 minutes until blended.
- Place over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes, and enjoy!
Notes
- If you like your food a bit on the salty side, add some to your liking. I personally think the saltiness of the gravy mix and soup are enough.
- This gravy is creamy and thick, if you like more runny, add another half a cup of water.
