Easy Baked Teriyaki Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts around 2 lbs
- ½ cup of soy sauce
- ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
- ⅓ cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 3 chopped garlic cloves
- ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
Instructions
- Mix your corn starch, ginger, apple cider vinegar, water, pepper, soy sauce, garlic, and sugar over medium heat in a pan. Allow it to boil. Turn the heat down to low and cook for around 10 minutes, making sure to keep mixing.
- When the sauce reaches desired thickness, turn the heat off and let it set for 5 minutes.
- Whilst doing so, oil a big baking pan for your chicken breasts, and turn on the oven to 375 F.
- Transfer your chicken into the greased baking pan and coat with half the sauce.
- Cook in your oven for 15 minutes, then cover with the leftover sauce. Return to the oven and cook for another 10 to 20 minutes until the chicken is done.
- Take the pan out of the oven and let it chill for a couple of minutes, then plate with some salad, rice, or vegetables. Top with some sliced green onion or sesame seeds.
